All these sculptures are created in plastelline (plasticine) clay, over a wire armature, and cast, in bronze, by the traditional 'lost wax' process. This requires careful reworking, or 'chasing', in both wax, and bronze stages, a very time-consuming process. This artist is one of very few who insists on doing all this herself, to retain fine control of the finished piece.
